As with almost every match on the next-gen consoles, NBA 2K21 loads really quickly. Fans of Nba 2k21 Mt the series have grown accustomed to picking up their phone and scrolling through social media when loading into matches or swapping manners, so the quicker speeds are a nice treat. While playing on the Xbox Series X, I never needed to wait longer than a couple of seconds to get into a game.

Navigating throughout the MyCareer menu, hitting on last, and immediately being set on the court felt just like magic.Overall, the loading rates of the next-gen consoles make 2K21 a much better experience. Hardcore players are utilized to marathoning games, and these snappy load times make everything easier. Even loading to the game's online modes, which have been notoriously slow before.

NBA 2K21's graphics get a facelift in its own next-gen version. Already regarded for its high-level recreation of the NBA's biggest stars, there is a noticeable step up in quality. The light is better, and the faces look a lot more lifelike. Some of the personalities in cutscenes still seem somewhat rough, but the players themselves look better than ever.As far as mechanisms, 2K21 does not reinvent the wheel using its next-gen edition. However, the developers used this opportunity to bring some more unique animations into the game. This includes some new cartoons for alley-oops, that can be incredibly satisfying to pull away. I also felt like dribbling and ball motion were only easier overall when playing on Xbox Series X.

Among the more welcome adjustments in next-gen 2K21 is the addition of the G League. But when coming from high school, players can choose to take the conventional path to the NBA and go to college, or enter the G League. While faculty will offer the players with greater exposure and lovers, the G League can help them hone their skills quicker, with increased progress on badges and abilities.

2K21 also fixes a few of those annoying issues I brought up in my own review, as players are now able to alter the camera angle in high school, faculty, and the G League. Despite some strong changes and additions, MyCareer still feels incredibly grindy. VC is difficult to come by unless you dump a part-time job's worth of hours to the game, or crack open your wallet. Players can now hop in the W, a mode that lets them make their own WNBA superstar.
